• 30+ years’ experience in ocean engineering and offshore operations
• 16 years as a US Navy test engineer and diving officer. Experience in all aspects of ocean technology, including underwater vehicles, advanced diving, and deployment/recovery operations
• 15 years as Chief Engineer for Florida Atlantic University’s (FAU) Southeast National Marine Renewable Energy Center (SNMREC), responsible for technical aspects an ocean energy test facility and customer support
• Completed an entrepreneur “boot camp” in 2016 at FAU’s Tech Runway, a public-private partnership formed to foster technology start-ups and early-stage companies.
• BS in Ocean Engineering, MS in Coastal Zone Management and pursuing a PhD in Physical Oceanography
• Registered Florida Professional Engineer in Mechanical Engineering
• Works closely with Bruce Heafitz of Charybdis LLC on ocean energy projects
